The First Kiss

'The first kiss can make or break a relationship,' Jesse thought as he hung up the mistletoe in the Sanctuary.

'For example,' he thought as he remembered his very first kiss. 'My very first kiss happened on the night of my sixteenth birthday. Mary Lou, the hottest girl in school, and I got the chance to kiss her good-night. I was so nervous about it that it turned out to be the most embarrassing kiss ever and Mary Lou never went out with me again.'

'Now, my first great kiss, ' he remembered as he climbed down the ladder and began to help Emma decorate the rest of the Sanctuary. 'Was with Mark. Mark was the man who showed me that there was more to life then books and computers. When we first kissed I didn't feel any sparks but it made me feel special. Even though my first kiss with Mark was special and wonderful, somehow I knew he wasn't the 'One.' My relationship with Mark only lasted a year; a year that was filled with its ups and down's. When it was time for it to end, it ended well for relationship.

He wanted something more and I wasn't ready to give him more. I was waiting for 'The One.' He understood and we ended as friends and I still hear from him every now and then. The last I heard from him was a month a go. He was telling me how happy he was with his new lover and that he had finally found his 'one.'

'The one,' he thought as he watched Brennan help light up the tree. 'When I first met Brennan, I knew he was 'The One.' Don't ask me how I knew. I just did. There was something special about him and I knew this was the man I had been waiting for. In that moment that I met him, I fell in love with him. But I also knew that he wasn't ready for a relationship so I stood back and waited for the time when he was ready.'

He let out a soft sigh as he watched Emma bring over the box of Christmas tree decorations, 'I'm still waiting.'

"Damn," Emma spoke softly as she stood up and walked away, " I forgot the hooks. Hey, Jesse could start putting on the garland."

He nodded his head and began to pick up the golden garland and started placing it on the twelve foot tree.

" Hey, Brennan, could you hand me the ladder?" Jesse asked as he stretched to place the garland on the taller parts of the tree.

Silence greeted Jesse's question and when he turned he saw Brennan staring at him with a soft smile on his face.

He opened his mouth to ask Brennan what was wrong. When Brennan just shook his head and said, "Mistletoe." he paused as he looked at Jesse "You're under the mistletoe, Jesse," Brennan restated as he walked over and gently grasped Jesse's wrist.

"What do you think I should do about that, Jesse?" He softly asked as he brushed his hand through Jesse's blond hair.

"Kiss me?" Jesse barley squeaked out as Brennan smiled softly down at him.

"Kiss you, oh yeah, now that's a good idea." He softly spoke as he leaned down and gently touched his warm lips against Jesse's .

The feel of Brennan's warm lips against his caused Jesse to moan in pleasure as he slowly wrapped his arms around him.

Brennan returned the moan as he heated up their first kiss that was slowly turning into passion. He opened his lips and brushed his tongue against Jesse's.

Jesse moaned as he opened his mouth and let Brennan in as he pulled him closer to his body. Slowly Brennan wrapped his arms around Jesse's waist as he deepened their passionate kiss.

Brennan slowly began to move the kiss to nibble on Jesse's ear's and neck as his hands moved from Jesse back down to his tight butt. Then he began to whisper the words, 'I love you,' between the kisses.

"You love me?" Jesse asked as he gentle pulled away from Brennan.

Brennan smiled down at him as he spoke, "Yeah, I love you, Jesse."

Jesse let out a pleased sigh as he pulled Brennan down for another kiss, "I love you, too. Merry Christmas, Brennan."

"Merry Christmas, Jesse" He said as he began to kiss his lover once more.

The End.
